The”3Ds,” from Wellsboro, Pa, is an instrumental trio. They play a variety of styles; including Americana, celtic folk/rock, and jazz. Their instruments include: a hammered dulcimer, a concertina, a clarinet, flue, whistles, guitar, cajon, various percussion, and even a saw!
3D came into being in late 2016 when three local musicians, Daria Guelig, Dave Milano, and Dave Driskell wondered what might emerge if they synthesized their distinctly varied musical backgrounds. Daria’s hammered dulcimer delivered traditional Old Time and Celtic music. Multi-instrumentalist Dave Driskell added jazz and ragtime, and Dave Milano’s finger-style guitar fetched in folk, pop, and Americana. Their genre-blending experiment gave each of the three an opportunity to stretch their musical legs, and happily resulted in a unique ensemble group with an uncommonly engaging and diverse musical repertoire.
Their repertoire includes Jazz standards, Irish, Dixieland jazz, 60-70s folk, some Beatles, Old Time, Americana, and World music. A little something for everyone!
